Safety System Time

Tom had a tree go through his roof and has been unable to get on the forum do to other priorities.I sure do miss him and his advice!! He did come on and let us know what had happened. I call Tom the "rocket scientist" and he really is!!

I have not received any of the instructions/parts list for the safety system. Don't know if my spam got it or what. I hope someone can forward them to me. Or let me know what I need to do to obtain them.

You sure do sound a lot more 'chipper' and I can understand your excitement!!

I think Tom had a triple whamy...there was the huge old Oak tree that crashed during a storm, I think his van was damaged and I believe, there was yet a third whamy...

Hi all,

Well, I know this subject is a perennial favorite, but I'm starting it up again.

I'm ready to start buying parts for my system, but I can't get Tom Plumeri to respond to my emails. Hopefully he's OK, because he just kind of disappeared. I was actually thinking of buying one of his preconfigured systems if I didn't feel totally comfortable with the project, but now I'm in full DIY mode. I don't think I'm interested in the overpriced versions from TOAC.

So anyway, I'm asking the whole group now. I got Tom's pics and "parts list," but for my novice self it was a bit too vague to go forward with. He listed two different pilots and two different safeties. I wasn't sure which I needed to use with propane, or what the merrits of each were, etc.

So, does anyone here have a complete parts list (with sources?) and directions for an oven safety system? I need to run my stove on propane, if that changes anything.

Hoping for help here, because there is no way I will use this stove without a safety, and I really want to start cooking!!
